About

My story

For the past 15 years I have been a psychotherapist working with individuals and families facing serious illness. While supporting them in their fear and grief, I also helped them adjust to new realities, face whatever challenges the future may hold, and chart a path to a different and more peaceful future.

Through these times, I have witnessed the interconnectedness of mind, body, spirit and its impact on healing. I have seen the transformation that individuals make when they tap into their own strengths and positive life experiences to improve their emotional and physical well being.

My background

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New York. My clinical experience focuses on helping patients and families adjust to illness, aging, and family and caregiving issues. I used that experience to help create and expand the services of a successful palliative care program in a large regional health care system, serving thousands of patients and their families.

My prior professional experience includes over 25 years of leadership and consulting both in the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. As a senior human resource executive, I have focused on employee relations, communication and organizational development. I founded and served as principal of the Leadership Board, an organizational and leadership consulting business specializing in women’s workplace issues.

My diverse experiences in the healthcare and corporate worlds have given me a keen appreciation for the many individual, interpersonal and professional challenges people face every day. Learning to accept these challenges, while at the same time adapting new and healthier lifestyles, is the key to achieving life balance.
